215,000 sq ft New City Offices

PineBridge Benson Elliot has secured planning for 215,000 sq ft sustainable offices in The City

The scheme, branded The Mark, was designed by Danish architects 3XN and will also contain 14,000 sq ft of food & beverage, and retail space.  It will also incorporate an exhibition hall, for educational and cultural events, with a café/foyer. Hobart Partners are the development manager with work due to start next year for completion towards the end of 2026.

The building will target Well Platinum, BREEAM ’Outstanding’ and a minimum five-star Nabers rating, as well as aiming to achieve net zero carbon in operation, working to the UK Green Building Council’s framework.

PineBridge Benson Elliot director of development, Nick Waring said: “The Mark’s leading design will create a new building that enhances the site’s relationship to the existing historic context. Our goal is to create an efficient, truly green, flexible environment for all its occupants. The building will be long-lasting and adaptable, with sustainability and circularity at its core.”

Hobart partner Huw Griffiths commented: “We are very proud of what the team have achieved working with the City of London and believe this building will emerge as one of London’s most holistically sustainable buildings that gives back to the community, creates a positive impact on this historic environment and will be a place that people will want to be well, and can be well.”
